A BRAND NEW &
SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT

RACING CLUB
Those of you who know me will understand I live, eat and sleep National Hunt Racing.
For the last six years I have had horses in training with Seamus Mullins, who trains at the Woodford Valley, very close to Stonehenge.

I sponsor his yard, and currently have six horses in training and have enjoyed great success.

My star horse, Tommie Beau, won three individual three mile handicap hurdles in the space of two weeks, earlier this year – as far as we can tell, an unprecidented feat, travelling 1,300 miles along with his owner.

Above all though, we have great fun; a day out at the races should be cherished and, win or lose, we cerainly make sure of that.

Seamus has proved time and time again that, given the horse, he can deliver. Look at Chesterfield for example – a GODOLPHIN cast off who Seamus took on, eventually winning the Scottish championship hurdles.

I want others to join the party and at the same time, get a quality horse to go to battle with.
My promise to you if you join up: very regular updates, plenty of communication, and also for every time we run, a guaranteed ticket (the only exception may possibly be premier fixtures such as Cheltenham where badges may be limited) – but above all, a
damn good time.

THE CONCEPT

I want 69 people to commit to pay £69 a month for a year. That will be it – no extras or hidden fees whatsoever. All vets bills, transport etc, will all be included.

We have been advised of a great jump in prospect from Ireland and I have this week bought the five-year-old mare, Sharp note for £35K (image below). The horse has been bred by Seamus’ relations, who purely breed horses to sell on. You’ll see from the Racing Post link on our press page that this horse was third in a point-to-point in Ireland only in December 2021.
The winner was bought at public auction by Paul Nicholls for £385K, the second was bought by Milton Harris for £48K and immediately on its arrival in the UK, it was put straight into a bumper , that is to say a National Hunt Flat race at Ludlow where it hosed up, subsequently, just 10 days or so later it ran in a listed event at Cheltenham, again winning very easily.
This horse is good value and we have used Seamus’ links to pinpoint a horse that we can really launch this club with.

If funds and subscribers accumulate, once the time is right, we may look to buy another horse. There will be no management fees and everything will be totally transparent.
If at the end of the year we have managed to gather surplus, a refund dividend will be available, proportional to the length of time of individual’s involvement.

The subscription lasts one year and you can leave at any time (obviously removing any rights to refunds).

If you want to talk more about it, please ring me at any stage – my contact details are here and we may well organise an event at the yard for anybody who wishes to see the horse.
