What is Towbar Coding?

Towbar coding (also known as re-coding) is similar to rebooting your PC. It prepares your vehicle for towing and activates various functions related to lights, safety and
sensors.

Modern cars have as many as 70 electronic control units (ECU) including transmission, airbags, ABS, cruise control, electric power steering, audio systems, power windows, doors, mirror adjustment, battery and recharging systems for hybrid/electric cars - and of course, the trailer.
Covering all towing functions such as trailer stability control, electronic stability program, reversing sensor cut off or dashboard display indicator functions, our coding tool is able to program the vehicle at the time of installation.

• Trailer stability controls required for towbar fitting
• Electronic stability programs
• Reverse sensors
• Dashboard display indicators
