College

The Key Stage 5 curriculum for students in the College is an inspiring and enriching model designed to develop independent enquirers, creative thinkers, team workers, self-managers, effective participators and reflective learners.

Accreditation

Many of our pupils will have an individualised learning journey which will not always lead to academic achievement which can be measured in the manner of mainstream schools.

British Values

Each year the children and students decide upon their class code and the rights associated with these. All the children contribute to the drawing up of the code.

Careers

This policy statement sets out the school’s arrangements for managing the access of providers to pupils at the school for the purpose of giving them information about the provider’s education or training offer.

Life Skills

Careful and highly individualised curriculum planning across school and residential care gives all pupils the opportunity to experience and learn to prepare for real life situations.

Music and Drama

Music is an important part of life at Welburn Hall School. We sing in assemblies and the whole of main school gathers each week for a singing and signing session as well as regular class music lessons.

Sensory Provision

We work closely with our medical and specialist therapy colleagues to ensure the sensory needs of our young people are addressed in School.

PE and Sport

We heartily and enthusiastically embrace our values for all sport, in both PE lessons and in after-school clubs.
